RePro Deck Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026
Who we are
RePro Stream Ltd. is responsible for the RePro for Stream Deck Chrome extension and the RePro Deck plugin for Stream Deck. Contact: support@reprostream.com.
What this covers
This policy covers the extension and the plugin. It does not cover the RePro service at app.reprostream.com or the Stream Deck app.
What the extension reads
The extension works only on https://app.reprostream.com. On those pages it reads:
- which channel is open, its name (found by scanning the page's visible text for the word CHANNEL), the layout, and the selected program's number, count and name;
- whether a chat call is open, and whether your microphone is muted, live or in push-to-talk;
- which key you press, only to match your shortcuts (key presses are not logged; the code of the last shortcut key handled is left in a marker on the page, see below), and which RePro tab is in front or hidden;
- the names of chat rooms in the page's room list, only to find the room you chose (not kept or sent).
It does not keep or send chat messages or audio. To find the channel name it scans the page's visible text, which includes the chat panel when it is open, and keeps only the line after the word CHANNEL. It does not read passwords, cookies, or any other website. The extension never accesses your microphone itself (it uses no microphone API). Push to talk and mute tell RePro's own chat session to transmit or stop, only in a call you have already joined. It has no permission to see the address or title of tabs that are not RePro tabs.
It adds a few markers to the RePro page (attributes on the page's html element naming the extension and its version, the last shortcut key it handled, and the latest result), and the on-page status pill. Scripts on app.reprostream.com can read these. The extension sends them nowhere.
What the extension stores
- In Chrome Sync, if you use it: your channel keys (label, name, project number, channel number), chat room name, keyboard shortcuts and a random key token. Chrome keeps and syncs these under your Google account and Google's policies. We never receive them.
- On your Mac, in your Chrome profile: your deck layout and key images (if you load a profile from Stream Deck, also copies of its other keys with their settings), a random install id, a note that you clicked OK, a flag that the plugin has answered, a counter, a backup of an older layout, and the status of your open RePro tabs.
- In memory only, until Chrome quits: the same tab status.
The extension saves your own settings as you make them, whether or not you have clicked OK. Nothing is stored on any server of ours.
What the extension sends
Only to the RePro Deck plugin on your own Mac, at the address 127.0.0.1 port 47821: the status of your RePro tabs (channel label, layout, program, call, mic and talk state, which tab was last in front, technical ids and times). The extension sends nothing to RePro Stream, to Google (other than Chrome Sync as above) or to anyone else. There are no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
Until you click OK in the first-run notice, the extension does not keep the status of your RePro tabs and sends nothing to the plugin. It still saves your own settings (channel keys, shortcuts, deck layout) as you make them, and creates its random key token when installed.
The Stream Deck plugin
- It listens on 127.0.0.1 only, and only while a Stream Deck page with the RePro for Stream Deck info bar is showing.
- It keeps the status it receives in memory, shows it on the info bar, and does not write it to disk or to its log.
- It hands the text it shows (channel label, program name, mic state) to the Stream Deck app on your Mac, which draws it on the bar. The Stream Deck app is Elgato's software; this policy does not cover it.
- When the builder asks (it asks when you click Get from Stream Deck), it reads your Stream Deck profile files, read-only, and hands them to the builder page on your Mac. To list your profiles it also reads each profile's name, and it reads Stream Deck's preferences (deck names and which profile each deck shows) with the macOS defaults and plutil commands.
- It asks macOS whether Chrome is running, so a closed Chrome does not leave a stale microphone state on the bar.
- It sends nothing over the internet.
Files you create
The deck builder can save a Stream Deck profile and a setup file to your Downloads folder when you click. They contain your channel keys, and the key token that lets those keys open Chrome on a channel. If you loaded a profile from Stream Deck into the builder, the profile also carries copies of that profile's other keys, with their settings. Share these files only with people you trust.
Limits
The plugin's local listener accepts only requests that name the RePro for Stream Deck extension and the address 127.0.0.1. That stops web pages. It does not stop another program or user account on the same Mac, which can send the same kind of request, including one that returns your Stream Deck profile files (every file of a profile, with the settings of all its keys), while an info bar is showing.
How long we keep it
We keep nothing on any server of ours. On your Mac, tab status is removed from the stored list when its tab closes (normally within about 30 seconds), or at the next Chrome start if Chrome quit first. The in-memory copy can last until Chrome quits. Settings stay until you change or remove them.
Deleting your data
- Extension: remove it at chrome://extensions. That deletes its data on that Mac.
- Chrome Sync copy: Chrome manages it. Emptying the channel list, chat room and shortcuts in the deck builder clears those. The random key token is not cleared by the builder; it stays until Chrome removes the extension's data, and we have not verified when that happens.
- Plugin: uninstall it in the Stream Deck app. Its profiles belong to Stream Deck; delete them there.
- Files: delete the profile and setup file from your Downloads folder.
Use of data
The extension's use of data follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We do not sell data, use it for anything other than controlling and showing the RePro viewer on your deck, or use it to decide credit or lending.
Changes
We change the date at the top when this policy changes and say what changed here.
